The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michael Costello Sr. of Bastrop. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Narvin Hersey Sawyer and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henry Costello, all of Oak Grove. She is also the granddaughter of the late Arthur Rood McCleary of Natchitoches. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McIlwain Wright Sr. of Brandon, Miss. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Knox Strahan Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Wright, all of Jackson.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown fashioned of ivory silk taffeta with a shirred strapless sweetheart neckline. The washed silk organza skirt was embellished with self-rouched flowers and cotton-beaded thread embroidery. Extending the full length of the gown to the end of the chapel-length train were ivory silk buttons. The cathedral length ivory veil was elegantly embroidered with the brides monogram. The bride’s jewelry included a set of pearl earrings that were a wedding gift from the groom and her engagement ring, which was re-fashioned from the groom’s grandmother’s ring and a pearl and diamond bracelet which was a gift from her parents. Her hand tied bouquet was of white peonies, roses and lamb’s ear. Completing the bouquet were gold photo lockets of the bride’s grandparents and godfather which were intricately placed within the bouquet.
